Japanese tech company Sharp has set its sights on launching an e-scooter and now also an e-bike, which they call the Sharp BK-GS03E. The Sharp GS-03E features sporty elements including a 7-speed Mezzo transmission from MicroShift and a rear-wheel motor, whose brand is undisclosed.
The e-bike, produced by Polish company Sharp Consumer Electronics, is available in light grey and white and is sold online by the electronics manufacturer at a recommended consumer price of €2,399. There is also a slightly more expensive version option, with a Gates belt drive and a fully foldable frame, making it easier to carry when traveling. The Sharp BK-GS03E is equipped with a powerful 250W motor and can reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h. Five levels of electric assistance can be adjusted individually to different riding conditions, while a range of up to 85 km per charge also enables longer trips without frequent charging. TV manufacturer Sharp also provides the model with a waterproof TFT color display, which shows all important riding parameters and can also be connected to the Sharp Life app. A smartphone can be charged via the USB port while riding.
