Sufficiently high energy density
The energy density can reach 140wh/kg, although this value is not high due to the low energy density of the lithium iron phosphate battery itself. However, through innovations such as blade batteries, the endurance requirements of small vehicles can be met.

This picture is very interesting. It can be seen that although the energy density of Red Star’s BYD Han is low at the cell level, the energy density at the pack level is at the mainstream level
Higher safety
The lithium iron phosphate battery itself has low activity, and the structural optimization of the blade battery makes the blade battery have a safety advantage over the ternary lithium battery.
Low price/cost
Lithium iron phosphate batteries do not contain precious metals, so the raw material cost is low. The ternary lithium battery needs to rely on cobalt elements and needs to rely heavily on imports. From this aspect, blade batteries are also an important guarantee for energy security.
Good cycle life
The cycle life can reach 5,000 times (attenuation does not exceed 20%), which is much higher than the 1,000-2,000 times of the ternary lithium battery. In this way, for electric vehicles, it means that the attenuation problem can be basically ignored.
